The house at 1207 Ellsworth Street has been used temporarily for offices and meeting places. The original long-range plan continues - the house will be removed was removed in June 2009 to make way for the new structure with far better spaces for our expanding activities.

The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship is a welcoming and diverse community of individuals and families. Through fellowship, worship and service, we nurture the personal , spiritual and intellectual development of our growing congregation and promote respect and compassionate action for all people and our interdependent world.

All who come in the spirit of good will and are in sympathy with the principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association and covenant of our congregation are encouraged to participate in the worship, the activities, and the work of the Fellowship.

SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING - was May 3rd

The Board called a special meeting of the congregation for Sunday, May 3, 2009 in the sanctuary. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on a very important proposal which required a quorum vote of the fellowship.

The following resolution was approved:

RESOLUTION:

WHEREAS: In 2006 the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship embarked on a journey to live more in harmony with the Earth;

AND WHEREAS: A Green Sanctuary Program was created, team members recruited and an audit was conducted to see where on this path the congregation was;

AND WHEREAS: Twelve projects were selected based on the UU Ministry for the Earth program specifications;

AND WHEREAS: The program kicked off on Earth Day 2007 and the projects began;

AND WHEREAS: The membership of the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship has reviewed our progress, agreed that the twelve projects have been successfully completed, is committed to continue on this journey and is now ready to apply to the UUA for accreditation as a "Green Sanctuary" congregation.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship is authorized to apply for the Green Sanctuary Accreditation of the UUA.
