Greeters & Ushers
Each Sunday as well as for special events, we need friendly smiles and voices to demonstrate hospitality to newcomers and regular members alike. In addition to front-door greeters who can help situate newcomers, we need ushers to facilitate seating, oversee the monetary offering process, dispense assisted-listening devices, and record attendance data. Training and coaching are provided. These tasks are easy and enjoyable and require little additional time on Sunday mornings. To try one of these roles as an apprentice, and/or to sign up, go to the Greeter/Usher Sign Up Pages or contact Judy Kasper, Hospitality & Membership Chair.
Coffee Hour Bakers
We are always in need of tasty treats to complement our coffee and tea during our Coffee Hour after services on Sundays. Signing up in advance greatly assists in planning so that we have adequate supplies of baked goods or alternative finger foods (gluten free, dairy free, etc.). Please list ingredients in your contributions if possible. Sign up HERE to bake or purchase items for Coffee Hour or contact Judy Kasper.
This team coordinates the greeters, ushers, and bakers, staffs the Welcome Corner, and offers newcomer gatherings quarterly. The Welcome Kiosk serves as a friendly island in a sea of new faces. Newcomers are greeted by an interested church member, encouraged to ask questions and provided information about our community. They can sign up for midweek email updates, take brochures or be introduced to like-minded members who happen to be nearby. During our Coffee Hour after service, a Welcome Table with green tablecloth invites visitors and newcomers to have a seat for conversation with members. If you are interested in helping the Hospitality Team, please contact Judy Kasper.
