BUF's library was established in 1984 by Thelma Pierron, in honor of her husband, William "Bill" Pierron who was a lay minister for BUF from 1974 to 1984. William's only compensation as minister was a yearly stipend of $50 for books. He passed away shortly after his resignation as minister and Thelma donated all of his many, many books to BUF, which is the foundation of the Library.

The Library is located off the social hall and kitchen on the lower level of the building. It contains several hundred books on a wide range of topics including UUism, the environment, philosophy, social justice, world religions, ethics, spiritual development, general literature and much, much more.

Use of the library materials is currently based on the honor system. Donations, suggestions and volunteers are welcomed and encouraged. The Library is open, but under reorganization and there are plans for an archive and resource room so your patience is appreciated. For more information contact Deb Cruz.
